Marco Bellone and Giovanni Consonni are an Italian directing duo whose work marries bold, cinematic visuals with deep emotion. Gio grew up in the northern part of Italy, nearby the Lake of Como, studied classical arts, then shifted from canvas to camera with a Sony Handycam before training as an art director at IED in Milan and working in advertising and later MTV. Marc’s path began at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where an experimental course pushed him to dive obsessively into filmmaking, culminating in a first short completed after 96 sleepless hours and a life-changing standing ovation. They met through MTV, bonded instantly over film, and soon joined forces, directing together for top agencies such as Leo Burnett, McCann, TBWA, Ogilvy and Publicis on campaigns for brands including Jeep, Coca-Cola Company, Ikea, Adidas, Coors, Heineken Group, Dubai Tourism, Ferrero, SanPellegrino, Luxottica, Fiat, McDonald’s, Toyota, Nissan, Citroen, One Plus, Barilla, Emirates Airlines and many other brands. In 2013 they directed their first feature film, Ameriqua, starring Bobby Kennedy III, Alec Baldwin and Giancarlo Giannini. Today, Marc and Gio continue to evolve their craft, obsess over details and chase new ways to infuse every frame with pure emotion. They are based in Milan, working worldwide.
